A Zim Holiday

This past week we went on a holiday (vacation) to Hwange, Victoria Falls, and Antelope Park. In a nutshell, this week I jumped off a cliff, ate weird food, played with elephants, rode an elephant, and walked with lions! First we went to Hwange National Park, where we went on a game drive. Then we went to Victoria Falls. We viewed the falls, did adrenaline activities at the gorge, and went to The Boma. The Boma is a restaurant in Victoria Falls where they serve crocodile, warthog, eland, guinea fowl, and other interesting animals. On Friday we went to Antelope Park. Antelope Park is a safari lodge. This is where I played with elephants, rode an elephant, and walked with lions. This week was definitely an adventure of a lifetime!

Father's House Weekend Bash

This weekend Mary and the eleven kids from Father's House came to our house for a weekend bash! We played outside, watched The Lion King, went mini golfing, had a braai, and went to church. It was a great weekend! The kids really opened up to us and shared their individual personalities.

Chengeta

This weekend we went to Chengeta, a safari lodge. We went canoeing on the Seruwi River and went on a guided game drive. The river we canoed on has crocodiles! I canoed in Africa with crocodiles! It was so peaceful and beautiful! The water was so clear and the trees surrounding the river were so colorful. The game drive was a great experience. We saw wildebeest, implala, warthog, and giraffe. Chengeta has lions at the lodge but not on the safari, they are in cages. Before we started the safari we were allowed to take pictures with them. When I took my picture, the male lion cam running towards the fence and roared at me! I wasn’t really scared because it happened so fast, but everyone else was freaking out because they saw the lion do it. Don’t worry, I was completely safe! The lions are in a cage, behind an electric fence. Emily managed to get a hilarious picture of the lion running towards me.
